At Mindful Bodywork Sanctuary, every session is thoughtfully crafted around you rather than confined to a single modality or predetermined routine. Drawing from a rich lineage of Ayurvedic wisdom, Traditional Thai Medicine, and holistic healing arts, each treatment is guided by years of dedicated practice, intuitive touch, and a deep understanding of the body's innate capacity to heal.
Integrating traditional Ayurvedic therapies, Thai Bodywork, movement, breath, and restorative techniques, every session is designed to cultivate balance, vitality, resilience, and lasting well-being. The result is a deeply personalized experience that supports not only physical relief, but also a renewed sense of connection, presence, and ease.
This is bodywork as a living art—rooted in tradition, guided by skilled hands, and intuitively tailored to your body's unique needs.
Traditional Thai Massage and Dynamic Thai Bodywork provide the primary framework for care at Mindful Bodywork Sanctuary. Serving as both an assessment and treatment approach, these practices help evaluate the body's structural, fascial, and energetic relationships. Through mindful touch, assisted stretching, joint mobilization, and dynamic movement, areas of restriction and compensation can be addressed to support greater balance, mobility, and overall well-being.

The Mandala Retreat is a deeply restorative, full-circle experience, created for those moments when an ordinary session simply isn’t enough. Whether you are honoring a birthday, moving through a life transition, or offering yourself a seasonal reset, this extended ritual creates the space for profound recalibration and renewal.
This is not a treatment — it is a journey.
Over the course of 4.5 hours, your body is guided through a thoughtfully orchestrated sequence of traditional healing arts and Ayurvedic rituals. Each layer unfolds with intention, allowing tension to dissolve gradually, the nervous system to soften, and your entire system to return to its natural center.
Profoundly rejuvenating, personalized experience designed for clients seeking thoughtful, individualized care. The procedures listed below are part of Ayurvedic Sacred Bodywork™, offered at Mindful Bodywork Sanctuary. These select practices are carefully chosen through an in-depth consultation and woven into each session based on your individual needs, intentions, and current state of imbalance.

Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic healing technique that involves gently pouring a continuous stream of warm, medicated oil or other liquids, such as herbal decoctions or buttermilk, over the forehead, specifically targeting the "third eye" area. This therapy is designed to calm the mind, relieve stress, and promote mental clarity, often used to treat insomnia, anxiety, and headaches.

Abhyanga is an Ayurvedic full-body massage with warm medicated oils tailored to an individual’s body constitution. This treatment aims to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and nourish the skin and tissues. It involves rhythmic strokes and gentle pressure applied by one or two practitioners, which helps detoxify the body, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being.

Garshana is an Ayurvedic dry massage technique that uses raw silk gloves, a soft brush, or coarse herbal powders to exfoliate the skin and stimulate lymphatic circulation. It’s particularly beneficial for Kapha types, as it invigorates sluggish energy, reduces fluid retention, and warms the body, while also improving skin texture and aiding detoxification.

Pinda Sweda is an Ayurvedic therapy that massages the body with small muslin bags filled with warm, medicated herbal ingredients, such as rice, herbs, or sand, to promote relaxation and relieve pain. This treatment is often used to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and alleviate conditions like arthritis or muscle stiffness.

An ubtan facial is a traditional Ayurvedic skincare treatment rooted in Indian culture. It is designed to cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish the skin using a natural blend of ingredients. The treatment typically involves applying a paste made from chickpea flour, turmeric, sandalwood, milk, rose water, and sometimes additional herbs or spices. The paste is then massaged onto the face and left as a mask before being rinsed off, leaving the skin refreshed, glowing, and smooth.

Svedana is an Ayurvedic therapy that involves inducing sweat to eliminate toxins and balance the body's doshas, particularly Vata and Kapha. This alternative medicine treatment typically follows oleation (snehana) and uses steam baths, herbal poultices, or heated chambers to open pores and promote circulation. By releasing impurities through perspiration, it is believed to relieve stiffness, improve digestion, and enhance overall well-being.

Nasya is an Ayurvedic treatment that involves administering herbal oils or powders through the nasal passages to cleanse and rejuvenate the head region.
It leverages the nose as a gateway to the brain and consciousness, targeting marma points and clearing accumulated doshas (especially Kapha) from the sinuses, throat, and cranial region. Nasya helps with ailments like chronic sinusitis, migraines, allergies, insomnia, or poor concentration.

Pedikarma, also known as Kansa treatment in the context of Ayurveda, is a therapeutic foot massage that uses a Kansa wand—a bronze metal tool—combined with medicated oils to stimulate marma points (energy points) and improve circulation. This treatment aims to relax the feet, reduce stress, balance the doshas, and detoxify the body while leaving the skin soft and revitalized.

Vasti/Basti is a therapeutic treatment in which a small dough dam or ring is placed on specific areas of the body, such as the lower back, chest, eyes or joints, and filled with warm medicated oil. The oil is allowed to pool and penetrate the skin for a set period, helping to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, nourish tissues, and promote healing in the targeted area.

The Pechoti treatment, also known as Nabhi Chikitsa in Ayurveda, is an ancient practice that involves applying medicated oils or herbal substances to the navel to promote holistic healing and wellness. It is based on the belief that the navel, considered a vital energy center connected to numerous nerves and blood vessels, can absorb these substances and distribute their benefits throughout the body, aiding in digestion, stress relief, and overall balance.

Marma Therapy is an ancient Ayurvedic healing art that works with vital energy points where body, mind, and consciousness meet. These points—known as marmas—serve as gateways along the nervous system, subtle energy channels, and circulatory pathways. Gentle, intentional touch at these sites helps release stored tension, calm the nervous system, and support the body’s innate capacity to heal.

In Ayurveda, cupping is a time-honored practice that balances the body’s doshas by stimulating life force and releasing stagnant energy. This gentle yet powerful technique uses suction cups to enhance blood flow, clear toxins, and restore harmony to the body’s tissues.
Gua sha originates from Chinese medicine and resonates with Ayurveda’s focus on clearing stagnation, balancing doshas, and promoting the flow of prana.
